About

About the conference

The conference focuses on the clinical, pathogenetic and molecular genetic mechanisms of drug-resistant epilepsy. Its aims are to discuss advances in diagnosis and treatment, examine the clinical relevance of genetic research, and strengthen collaboration between researchers and healthcare professionals.

The event is organised within research project AP23489425, “Investigation of the Genetic Profile of Patients with Drug-Resistant Epilepsy in the Turkestan Region”, with the participation of the working group of research project BR24992814.

Who should attend

Neurologists, epileptologists, paediatricians, internal medicine physicians, general practitioners, medical geneticists, molecular biologists, clinical researchers, academic staff, doctoral and master’s students, residents, and early-career researchers are welcome.

Main topics

  • Diagnosis and treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy and management of complex clinical cases.
  • Genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of epilepsy and molecular biomarkers.
  • Pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics and personalised medicine.
  • Whole-exome and whole-genome sequencing and interpretation of genetic variants.

Specialists from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, India and Pakistan are expected to participate.
